Joana and Miguel, like us, like to think “outside the box” and there was plenty of freedom to throw some ideas around and debate them! The motto was that nothing was impossible and all ideas were worthy of debate and testing!

Joana and Miguel’s wedding is proof that each couple should and can have a wedding that describes them. They got married on a private villa, Quinta da Lomba, an unexplored place, where no wedding had ever taken place. They wanted all moments of the party to take place outdoors, wandering through the villa’s various locations, like the pool or the viewpoint area, always with a stunning view of the Douro river, which means a lot to them.

With the ceremony taking place at 11h, our main difficulty was creating areas of shade in the main lobby, the lunch area, doubling as shelter from the night dew. To do this, we opted for a solution using tensioned covers to avoid parasols. It was a big challenge, but worth it!

The day was packed with beautiful surprises which Miguel lovingly prepared for Joana and surprises by family and friends that moved Joana and Miguel.

Today, Joana and Miguel are our friends and they hold a very special place in our hearts.

We will never Forget what Joana and Miguel told us on our first meeting, about finding and meeting us: “nothing happens by chance, this was meant to be!”.
