Ariana and Jorge always wanted to get married in the Vila Boa do Bispo Monastery, in Marco de Canaveses. None of them is from there nor do they have family there but when they visited it, attracted by photos they had seen, they had no doubt that it was where they would celebrate the day! We were very happy and felt the same when we entered the Monastery for the first time, enchanted by the historic place, ample and stripped of everything that is not essential. It’s surrounded by nature in such a way that it’s as if nature itself had always sheltered it from the passage of time and preserved its identity!

Dinner was in the cloisters, sheltered from night’s cold and wind. We kept the space’s simplicity with long wooden tables throughout all the cloisters, lighting them with string lights.

It was a very gratifying job and we are very happy to have been a part of such a special day!

Best wishes, Ariana and Jorge!

The tables’ main elements were custom-made cross-table linen towel with a manual stamping, inspired by Portuguese tiles, a challenge that we presented to Karaka and that she accepted with full motivation.
